outsideA new American style music bar and restaurant has just opened next to I-Mobile stadium.

Bar 70th is on the back road to Big C. They are just off Highway 219.

Chan from Buriram, using his twelve years experience in the hospitality Industry, has put together an interesting venue.

With a CV of work places including countries such as Australia, NewZealand, USA and Canada, Chan has been around much of the world.

Bar 70th seating is semi casual with dark to light wooden chairs and tables providing resting places for customers.

For budding musicians, a drum set and guitars sit on a small stage area in the back left corner of the bar. At night cool, blue lighting sets the atmosphere.

Lively, upbeat American and Thai music from the 60’s and 70’s right up to modern day shall mainly be played. Bands are on mostly from 8-10pm.

True to the American style, snacks such as peanuts come with your drink. A range of Thai beers are available plus some European ones. Whiskeys, tequila’s and other spirits are also on hand.

A selection of foreign wines from California, Chilli, Argentina and South Africa are stocked in their cellar. All come in at decent prices, starting with as little as 750 baht. 

Just like the other drinks, bottles of wine come with some complimentary bite size snacks.

Further entertainment is provided by their pool table which sits in it’s own room at the back of the bar.

Food wise at the moment a selection of Thai food and American style food is available including burgers, pork chops and a barbecue. The food is cooked by a well known Buriram chef called Mr Joe.

How To Get There

On the way back to Buriram from I-mobile Stadium, take the very first left just after the stadium grounds (before the railway crossing). They are about fifty meters on your right hand side.
