Buriram United have announced that they have released former Crystal Palace striker Andre Moritz despite the Brazilian having a reasonable pre-season. In a shock move, he has been replaced by South Korean Kim Seung-Yong, signed from Qingdao Hainu who play in the China Division One.
Seung-Yong is a thirty year-old midfielder who has represented South Korea at Under 19, Under 20 and Under 23 level. He is 1.83 m tall and has played 205 games scoring 20 goals.
Previous clubs are FC Seoul, Jeonbuk Hyundai, Ulsan Hyundai in Korea, Gambon Osaka in Japan and Central Coast Mariners in Australia. Update : It is believed that Moritz has signed for English Championship club Nottingham Forest as a free agent.
