Buriram United striker, Hoang Vu Samson has parted ways with the club just 5 games into the season of the 2018 Thai League. The 29-year old Nigerian-born Vietnamese striker has confirmed that he will rejoin his former club Hanoi FC in Vietnam.
V.League legend, Samson joined Thai League champions Buriram United in order to fill the ASEAN quota of the club. However, the striker who scored 139 goals in the V.League could not reproduce that form in Thai football. Samson left Buriram after playing for the Thunder Castle outfit for just 33 minutes in the 2018 Thai League.
This means Buriram will be searching for a new ASEAN player who can make an impact in the squad. The Thai champions are being linked with former player, Javier Patino who has just left his club Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League. His contract was cancelled by mutual consent as he strives to recover from injury. The Filipino is considering his options and has the chance to return to Thailand in the second half of the season.
If he can regain full fitness he would certainly give Buriram another attacking option and he was actually very successful in China.
