Seafood sensation ! If you enjoy your seafood, there is a new restaurant in Buriram that fits the bill.
Following recommendation from a friend, we were invited along to the “Saprampa Restaurant” on Monday evening.
Having lived in Buriram for the past 7 years and visited the city for the past 12 years, I have gotten to know the place rather well. So I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of the quality and freshness of the seafood that we would be served, as we are a few kilometres from the sea!
After three kilos of some very large prawns which were delicious and an assortment of every sea food dish you could imagine, along with oyster (my favourite) and various other fish sauces, it turned out to be a memorable culinary experience.
The service was excellent ,the beer flowed throughout the meal and the food kept on swimming on to the table.
I will not mention the final bill for the seven of us as it was unbelievably reasonable.
It just confirms why we love to live in Buriram.
The owner Kuhn Yai is a superb hands- on lady (top photograph on the right) and she is there up front to take care of everybody.
The restaurant was packed on a Monday evening which speaks volumes.
Directions: Easy to find between the Elephant roundabout and the Rajabhat University, situated on the opposite side of the road. Car park at the rear.
Highly recommended by the Buriram Times.
