If you are planning a celebration or would just like to go somewhere just a little bit special then look no further than the Swiss Steakhouse in Satuk.It is well worth the trip believe me. It is situated in a pleasant,quiet street just off the main road through Satuk and you will receive a warm welcome from Swiss owner John and his lovely Thai wife Chotiya.
The decor provides a warm ambiance and great attention to detail has gone into the presentation of the tables. Twenty-six people can be comfortably seated inside, with a further four at a table outside. Opening hours are 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 10pm.
There is a good choice of beers and spirits available, as well as soft drinks. For the purveyors of the grape there is also a comprehensive selection of good wines, both white and red. Now for what the Swiss Steakhouse is all about, the food.
A small selection of beautifully presented starters are available but take care not to over-indulge before the superb main courses. As the name suggests, steaks figure prominently on the menu. There is an incredible selection of imported steaks, cooked to your preference, to choose from with the same cuts available with Thai beef.
A number of pork dishes can also be found with some cooked Swiss style. The Swiss sliced pork with mushroom sauce is to die for ! Lamb is also now on the menu served as a succulent joint and proved very popular with a number of our party. Most dishes come with vegetables and a choice of roast potato or French fries.
The dishes are superbly presented , the only downside being you will end up eying other diners’ food with longing eyes, regardless of how much you are enjoying your own. Although there is no Thai food on offer there is an extensive selection of salads available, again mouthwateringly presented.
For those who can actually find room for them, there is also a small selection of exquisite sweets to round off your culinary experience. Although not the cheapest meal you may ever have, everything is sensibly priced and I believe represents excellent value for money.I certainly will be returning
