Not surprisingly, after Thailand’s beaches recently dominated the top ten list in Asia, Thai islands are now doing the same.
Five Thai island made it into a “Top Ten Islands in Asia” list complied by the highly popular destination rating site. “Trip Advisor”.
The votes were collected from travellers over the last twelve months.
Koh Tao, in the southern provide of Surat Thani (pictured above), topped the list followed by Bali, in Indonesia. Coming in at third, Phuket which is Thailand’s largest island, was then followed by Koh Samui.

Lombok in Indonesia took a respectable fifth. Thai islands featured again, taking the next two slots. Koh Lanta scooped seventh while the famed party and music destination of Thailand, Koh Phangan, was given seventh place.

Two beautiful Philippine Islands make up the 8th and 9th places on the traveler rated survey. Boracay and Palawan managed to squeeze their way in.

Lastly, rounding off the Top Ten in Asia list was Langkawi Island in Malaysia.

The world’s most popular travel site quoted Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul as saying. “We are thrilled that five of Thailand’s islands have once again been featured within the top 10 islands in Asia for the 2015 Travellers’ Choice awards”
