The Metropolitan Police Bureau in Bangkok, today (Wednesday) boasted that it has enforced broader and sharper electronic eyes to catch all types of traffic violations.

The measure has already been implemented in Bangkok and will soon be enforced more broadly around the country.

Not only will cameras be positioned at intersections to catch motorists who run red lights but the new measure would catch motorists driving in the wrong lane and breaking the speed limit. There will also be portable cameras which will be randomly relocated so motorists would not know whether they are being watched or not.

Photos of speeding vehicles along with their license plate numbers will be used as evidence to prosecute the wrongdoers.

E-ticket

The new “E-ticket” will be mailed to the drivers’ addresses to inform them how and where to pay the fines.

The long arm of the law seems to be arriving even in Thailand!!
