Buriram Golf Society held their latest Texas Scramble on Wednesday, July 4 and it was kindly sponsored by one of our American friends Lynn to mark US Independence Day.
Seven teams of three plus one of four met at Khao Kradong golf course at 7.30am for a shotgun start. That is where all the teams start at the same time from different holes. It was the usual format with each player driving, then the best shot is selected and all the team play their second shot from that point. This continues until the ball is holed.
Each player had to have at least four drives selected as the first shot. This had been increased from three and it certainly made it somewhat more difficult. Scoring was as ever good, though the Swedes and the English were perhaps not at the peak of their physical powers !
Result:-

After the presentation the players got stuck into a delicious Thai hot buffet, it really was very good, washed down with a beer(s) , courtesy of sponsor Lynn.
As ever, it was an excellent day with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. Thanks to the Buriram Golf Society committee for all their hard work in ensuring the day ran smoothly. Here’s to the next one !
