Since our last article on ‘Where to Eat in Buriram’ two sorry three new establishments have come to our attention.
So here’s your updated guide on where to eat in Buriram.
Of course you can eat at the many delicious Thai places during the day or in the evening when you can get good quality Isaan food. See our article on Isaan Food for a basic menu.
Here we list the quality restaurants and eateries of Buriram City and a couple just outside. If you click on the links you’ll get a full review with links to other articles on that restaurant.
In no particular order (we’ll leave it for you to judge):
Bamboo Bar, Buriram.
A great bar and restaurant serving both Thai and International food at reasonable price. Nice atmosphere at the bar with live music and ‘guest’ singers in the evening.

Bar Roma – Italian.
Near the clock tower roundabout which is in front of the railway station, just along the road opposite the Thai hotel and near to the main night life centre of the city.

Sapranpa Seafood Restaurant.
Seafood sensation ! If you enjoy your seafood, there is a new restaurant in Buriram that fits the bill.
Directions: Easy to find between the Elephant roundabout and the Rajabhat University, situated on the opposite side of the road. Car park at the rear.

Snitzel Wirtin – Austrian.
– About half way between i-mobile Stadium and Big C, directly opposite the large Wat (temple) you can find the Schnitzel Wirtin restaurant.

Oli French Wine Bar and Tapas
Oli Wine and Tapas bar situated at 47/26 Talad Thong Nai, Meuang, Buriram. Talad Thong is on the Thanon Thali Road, near to the bus station about 150 meters from the traffic lights at the junction with Bulamduan road. The bar is easily visible form the road and there is ample parking available.

Osteria – Italian.
OSTERIA ITALIA: Restaurant and Coffee Shop. Yes there is a “little Italy” hidden away in the back streets of Buriram and your culinary reporters at the “Buriram Times” have found it and enjoyed a fantastic lunch for their efforts!

Jimmy’s Sports Cafe
Sports Cafe – Up on Jira Road between Tewkeets Super Store and the Best Western Hotel.
As well as the great British breakfast, Jimmys has smoked salmon with lightly salted scrambled egg and the famous bacon chop. Lots more on the menu and they also have a special each day.

Hungarian Food’s House.
Yes we have a Hungarian restaurant to add to the list of international cuisine in Buriram.
The restaurant describes itself as being a Thai-Italian-Hungarian Food’s House as was shown on the extensive menu. With plenty of traditional dishes to choose from.

Swiss Steakhouse in Satuk.
Not in Buriram City but out in Satuk, it is situated in a pleasant,quiet street just off the main road through Satuk and you will receive a warm welcome from Swiss owner John and his lovely Thai wife Chotiya.

Muang Pizza / Tulip Hotel.
Excellent pizza, freshly baked bread and high quality restaurant fare. From Jira Road, turn onto Balamduan Rd (Bus station here) and take your first left into Rancharna Rd. The restaurant is on the left hand side and has ample off- road parking.

Other Options
For delicious Thai pork noodle soup (char-sui pork) try the noodle shop down the side of the Bamboo Bar (over the road on Romburi).
Buriram is blessed with a number of great Thai restaurants, wherever you go you will enjoy the food and the ambience.

Thani Alley is the main area for late night entertainment, which you can find directly, from the train station, follow Romburi Road up to Thani Alley which has many options for Thai bars and restaurants.
