Following on from the signing of the “Fast Train Deal” with China, Laos and Thailand, which took place some 6 weeks ago, the published blue prints show that Khon Kaen will become the first main stop in Thailand as its Northern distribution centre.
Infrastructure is well underway in China and Laos. Unfortunately due to the political situation in Thailand there have been some delays.
Since the signing of the agreement the Thai border town of Nong Kahi on the friendship bridge has also attracted the interest of global investors in particular from Chinese and Japanese investment funds.
With the world economy focused on the Far East, Thailand needs to grasp this opportunity to be there amongst the main players.
