The La Lom Restaurant opens its doors for the first time on Wednesday November 1 at 4.15pm.

It is situated on the site of the old Mali restaurant(see later link) but owners Patrick and Path have completely refurbished the premises to provide a restaurant with a touch of class.

Path and Patrick who hails from the Netherlands promise a warm welcome.

There is seating for 150 people on multi-levels, ideal for parties, weddings or any celebration. The functions can be kept private on request.

Multi-levels offers customers something completely different.

Patrick and Path consider themselves primarily a restaurant rather than a bar and the cuisine will be predominantly Thai with a small Western menu.

A wide selection of bottled beers are available, both Thai and foreign. Draught beer will be on offer in the near future.

Red and white wines are available by the glass as well as the usual spirits and mixers. Soft drinks are also on offer and the prices of all beverages are in line with the other restaurants and bars in Buriram.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 4.15pm to midnight, last orders for food at 11.30pm.  There will be live music every weekend  with a Thai lady singing western songs from 7pm until 9pm. From 10pm until 11pm the music will change to Thai country.

The music is intended as a background to enhance the customers’ enjoyment of their meal so it will still be possible to hold a normal conversation. For the first weekend the music will be extended to Monday.

It is the beautiful Thai festival of Loi Krathong on Friday November 3 and all customers will be offered a float to put on the nearby waterway.

Free wi-fi is also available at all times. More information can be found on the following links:-

Finally, Patrick is very keen to stress that if a customer has any concerns or is not one hundred percent satisfied with their meal or the service , then he would welcome their input.

On the other hand if they have enjoyed their culinary experience, he would be very grateful if they could spread the word.

The Buriram Times wishes Patrick and Path every success in their new venture and hope to be there on opening night.

Bon appetit !
