His Majesty the King presided over the annual Royal Ploughing Ceremony at the Sanam Luang Palace grounds on Friday to mark the start of the rice planting season.
Following the Ceremony people rushed forward to collect some of the blessed seed rice grain at the end of the event.
This spectacular, cultural day is always respected by Thai farmers and the whole population of Thailand as they plan and trust that a good harvest will be forthcoming for the coming season.
